About Us
Cranford Family Care has been serving the Cranford community since 1936.
Cranford Family Care has proudly supported the Cranford community for nearly a century. Founded in 1936, during the depths of the Great Depression, our organization began as the Cranford Welfare Association—established by local residents, houses of worship, community organizations, and civic clubs who came together to help neighbors in need.
While much has changed over the years, our mission remains the same: to empower Cranford residents on their path toward self-sufficiency.
Today, Cranford Family Care provides essential support through food assistance and financial aid. We are deeply committed to treating every individual with dignity and respect, and we uphold strict confidentiality to protect our clients’ privacy
Supported By Our Community
We rely solely on the generosity of community groups such as churches and synagogues, businesses and community members to provide donations to fund our outreach. One of those community groups is Project Home of Cranford. Project Home of Cranford, incorporated in 1988, is a 501(c)(3) created to assist Cranford Family Care by raising funds solely for housing assistance. We utilize Project Home’s fundraising dollars for Cranford residents in need of temporary housing and financial assistance with rents and mortgages. Their monies are only used for housing assistance which allows Cranford Family Care to have more funds available for other outreach.
In 2025, Project Home provided Cranford Family Care with $27,000.00 in donations for housing assistance.
Project Home holds fundraisers throughout the year for Cranford Family Care, which include the town-wide garage sale, the Ladies’ Night Out Gala and Raffle, and Dunk-a-Cop. When you support Project Home of Cranford, you also support Cranford Family Care.
